Wolkenstar's sire Wolkenstein II is known for producing very ride able horses and his dam sire is Weyden, the Olympic bronze medalist.  His granddame sire is Rolls Royce, who also produced the beautiful and talented mare Rocher, George Williams dressage mount. Wolkenstar has amazing dressage gaits, and also true to his lineage, he is a very talented jumper.  Well broke and super under-saddle, he is in training with Allen Clarke and is now offered for sale at $45,000.00  Please contact Allen Clarke at (909)263-0334 for details.

Wolkenstar's  sire Wolkenstein II  is one of the most proven and popular Hanoverian sons of the major sire Weltmeyer.  He carries Trakehner blood twice through Absatz and Semper Idem.  The latter was an original Trakehner stallion that ended up at the Hanoverian State Stud right after the war and founded one of Hanover's strongest show jumping lines via Senator - Sender all the way to the modern and highly popular Stakkato and his sons.  Absatz was the spitting image of the Trakehner sire Abglanz, by Termit, a stallion who came to West Germany as a yearling and was spared the treck.  He revolutionized the Hanoverian breed during the time of the difficult reform of working horse towards sport horse.  The so called "Abglanz" type is very dominant and often passed down for several generations.  He implimented his own strong red chestnut color in Hanover and even today, in the latest of his line (Alabaster, Abanos) the type and ridability is the most prominent feature.  The "A" line in Hanover has produced show horses of international caliber in both dressage and show jumping (e.g. Amaretto, I. Werth and Anka, World Cup winner in show jumping, both sired by Argentinus).

The dam sire Weyden was an Olympic medalist for the Netherlands with Sven Rothenberger.  He comes from the same Woermann line as Wolkenstein II, but not via World Cup I, but his half brother Wenzel I (also by Woermann).  WOLKENSTAR therefore is strongly inbred to this famous Hanoverian W-line.  In reality, the line should be named "F"-line, since it was founded by the Hanoverian FlugeladjutantWeyden too, brings in Trakehner and TB blood through Valentino xx, Lateran and Altan.

More Trakehner blood can be found in Wolkenstar's mare line.  he traces back to the purebred Trakehner mare Helda by Amadeus out of Harmonie XXI, which makes him a very distant relative to the Trak stallion High Night.  Apart form his interesting mix of bloodlines, the second dam sire Rolls Royce, is of interest as he is not only Westfalian bred and "R"-line related (by Rheingold - Romadour II  - Rimus I - Radetzky), but also because he sired the World Cup dressage mare Rocher and several excellent show jumpers.  WOLKENSTAR impresses with a solid background, line breeding to some of Hanover's all time great stallions (Grande + Woermann) and an interesting infusion of TB and Trakehner blood, all on the basis of a Trakehner mare line.
