KG Advocate was born in 1997 and purchased as a stallion prospect in 1998 by Auffinger Farms . He went on to earn numerous first place titles and championships as a 3 and 4 year old in sporthorse in-hand classes. He has even competed in hand in open classes against pure warmblood stallions, placing very respectfully and above many breeds, including Warmbloods and Friesians. Judges comments about KG Advocate include: "Lovely horse! Nice neck, uphill frame, leggy type, well set neck, beautiful head, well proportioned, fluid reach, good elevation of forehand, nice topline, and very nice horse"!
While showing second level dressage, at both open and Arabian shows, he consistently placed first, even receiving 8's on gaits. Noted USDF judge Donna Richardson commented: "This horse has FEI potential" and "lovely mover". Other judges have commented on his elegant beauty, gaits, and potential while spectators have commented that he looks like a fantasy stallion out of a storybook! His foals suggest he passes on that beauty also......
KG Advocate's first foal crops have been amazing. He improves upon the mare and himself. He has consistently produced foals with extremely long legs, higher neck set, improved shoulder angle, and large size. All of his foals are very friendly and athletic. His first foal , Crysallis AF (Sold), has earned a champion title at the USDF breed show, scoring 74.2% and is now approved with the American Trakehner Association. His 2003 colt Litigator AF is a very tall, extremely athletic and strikingly beautiful chestnut gelding. He is also the sire of the breathtakingly beautiful black/bay filly Advocates Mahogany(sold), a full sister to Crysallis, who currently stands at 16 hands tall. And his 2004 Arab/Warmblood cross filly, Aquila AF, has earned champion filly titles at the USDF Breeders shows with scores averaging 81%. She is also ranked 3rd in the nation for the USDF Horse of the Year awards!!! This is in the warmblood classes! Please click on her name to see this incredible filly! In 2006, KG Advocate sired two colts, one bay named Antares (out of Aspen Dawn), and the other, a huge black colt out of our Trakehner mare Amsellied. His name is Aldebaran! Please click on any of the names to access their information.
KG Advocate is now retired from competition due to an unfortunate shoulder injury (this is not a bone or OCD issue - his pasture accident caused tissue damage and he now has extensive scar tissue - xray analysis available upon request). While he can no longer make his mark in the show ring, his offspring will no doubt fill in his shoes. His kids are already off to a great start.
We encourage anybody interested in breeding their mare to KG Advocate to come visit him in person. This playful and charming stallion will win your heart! Please contact us for an appointment.
